A poor man, a rich man. We know the name of one. We don’t know the name of the other. Usually, it’s the rich man whose name we know, who shows himself, who is famous. The poor man remains hidden, unknown, in the shadows. Not in the Gospels: in the parable, “Lazarus has a name, the rich banqueter doesn’t.”
